Actors should come with music. Accompanist will be provided (no tapes or CDs). Please bring a current resume and a photo (snapshot is fine). Dress comfortably and wear shoes you can dance in (flip-flops, sandals or bare feet will not be permitted).

 

 

• Bring your calendar to indicate conflicts with rehearsals.
• Readings will be from the script.
• Scripts will be available at our office (177 E. Naghten St. Columbus, OH) and may be checked out for 3 days with a $20 deposit. All scripts will be due back no later than Thursday, July 25, 2013.

 

Rehearsal Schedule: Sunday – Friday, 6:30 – 9:30 PM, beginning August 12

 

Performance Schedule: September 19 - 29, 2013 
Thursdays & Fridays at 7:30 PM

Saturdays at 1:00 & 5:00 PM

Sundays at 3:00 PM

 

About the Story:

Shrek The Musical, based on the Oscar^® winning DreamWorks film that started it all, brings the hilarious story of everyone's favorite ogre to dazzling new life on the stage.

In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an unseemly ogre — not a handsome prince — shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Throw in a donkey who won't shut up, a bad guy with a SHORT temper, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's one on hand...and his name is Shrek.

Full of all-new songs, great dancing and breathtaking scenery, Shrek The Musical is part romance, part twisted fairy tale and all irreverent fun for everyone!
